Magic Carpet Ride through Middle Eastern Cuisine
Two great NOC food establishments for lovers of Lebanese cuisine- kebob, lamb, garlic and saffron rice dishes.
First up, Rosine's in Anaheim Hills. Get the Roast Chicken with Garlic sauce!
Next- Hatam in Anaheim on Brookhurst at the 5. The minced meat kabob things are tasty street food like I love.
Enjoy. This is why civilization started with these folks. Good stuff.

Elvis in 3D
3D theatricals produced an amazing musical of "All Shook Up" at the Plummer Auditorium in Fullerton. They are doing an amazing job filling in for FCLO with great casting, production values, and shows! First off anything at the Plummer is fun because the Plummer is fun. THen you add to that a high quality musical with great singing leads, a fun show and Elvis music. What could go wrong? And nothing did! Bravo!

Chicago doesn't have better Chicago Stuffed Pizza than Placentia!
Tony's Little Italy tucked into a mini-mall on Placentia Avenue at Bastanchury is a little slice of the Windy City in North Orange County. With a steady stream of Cubs games on the telley) this pizza is made by the mom & pop owners with love. Yes- its a 2 inch thick heart attack pie with a zesty sauce and a cornmeal crust that betas anything I had in Chicago. Don't eat it every day and you will live to be 90. Try it. You'll thank me later. Batta boom!
Hole In The Wall Fills The Hole In My Stomach!
La Ranchera Taqueria is a very easy to miss place in La Habra as it is a small storefront in a mini-mall next to a carneseria. It would be easy to miss if it wasn't for two things- the easy to remember address (911 E. La Habra Blvd) and the fact that they make delicious tortillas from scratch! Yes the small restaurant is dominated by a tortilla making machine. Get tacos with the tortillas hot off the press. And the people are very nice if you can speak caveman Spanish like I can.
The Faces of Fullerton
I have moved over 40 times in my lifetime and as an artist toured hundreds of cities and I still say Fullerton is among the best places to live in the world! ONe reason for that is Faces of Fullerton Festival put on by the Fullerton Collaborative of nonprofits. You can't go there without feeling like this is what makes us special. Thousands of families coming together with music, dance and art, free Korean food and hot dogs, and doznes of booths from area non-profits showing families all the resources available to them in Fullerton. I always leave there with a tear in my eye for how supportive and amazing our community is! Hats off to Pam Keller, Tammi, Leanne and the Collaborative volunteers who put on this outstanding event that puts the FULL in Fullerton. Its full of love, support, fun and lots of wonderful Faces!
